A 2X-long shank gives the TMC 5262 room for extended-body nymphs and streamers, and 2X heavy wire keeps that added length from becoming a weak point when a big fish is on the line.
Specifications
Pack Quantity: packs of 25
Style: Down eye
Wire: 2X heavy
Shank: 2X long
Finish: Bronze
Best for: larger nymphs, streamers, wet flies, and stonefly patterns, in freshwater or saltwater.
The down eye secures thread wraps cleanly, and the hook's versatility covers stoneflies, wet flies, and streamers across both freshwater and saltwater applications.

There are cheaper hooks out there. But when it comes to stoneflies, pheasant tails, hares ears, small streamers or leeches, I had to accept these are my favorite. Good hook gap and length. Very strong.

Sets the bar for streamer hooks
I keep trying other hooks for articulated streamers, but I keep winding up back at the 5262. The shank length and wire weight just suit what I’m trying to do.

5262 hooks
I like these hooks for smaller midges because they are a tad bit longer so you can get a nice body and a good size thorax. So I'm still getting a small bug but it's not all crammed together.
