All natural - no dye involved - so you get the subtle variations in color, plus the full range of spiky, buggy, variegated and mottled hairs that blend into the finest dubbing.
I bought the grade #2 hare's mask, and I suggest buying that one over the #1, perfect for tying any fly that requires a hare's mask... it's awesome!

I've gone with cheaper materials in the past and have always been unhappy so I went with the Grade 1 and it was well worth it. Full mask with great fibers. I cannot comment on the quality of this Grade 2 mask, but for me the extra few bucks is well worth it.

Try using this for an actual Hares ear nymph and see the difference! The ear hair is much stiffer than regular body hair and turns the bugs into an amazing fly! The mask quality is excellent with enough to tie 15 dozen or more flies! I picked up 2 of them and quality is consistent. Definitely buying them again!

Ordered the grade #1 hares mask and have been happy with the product. Natural mask has a good variety of color and texture. I have been very pleased with the dubbing I’ve got from these masks.
