Description
A slot removes less metal from Wapsi Tungsten Slot Beads than a countersunk hole would, so they keep more mass and add more sink weight to a fly than a countersunk bead the same size.
Specifications
- Pack Quantity: 10 beads per package
- Weight: Twice as heavy as brass; heavier than lead; heavier than countersunk beads of the same size, since less metal is removed from the spherical shape
- Design: Slotted, for sliding around tight bends or jig-hook angles
Best for: patterns needing maximum sink weight in a compact bead, and jig-hook nymphs.
For other slotted tungsten options, see Slotted Tungsten Beads or Fulling Mill Slotted Tungsten Beads.
That combination makes them a compact way to add maximum sink weight to a fly — on top of already outweighing brass two-to-one and running heavier than lead — and the slot still allows an easy slide around tight hook bends or onto jig-hook angles.
