Tungsten Carbide Vise

I'm not sure I would use this as an everyday vise, and I don't think it will ever replace my larger (and much more expensive) primary vise, but it makes a great travel vise. I paired this with the J. Stockard Signature Tool Bag (https://www.jsflyfishing.com/products/signature-tool-bag?variant=43244914770149) and it makes for a very convenient set-up for tying classes, tying nights or streamside tying. Personally I prefer the pedestal base, but having both bases is very convenient. A great portable vise.

Bought this as a companion to much more expensive vise I already own. Boy, I am impressed with the quality vs the price. It is a great addition to my fly tying arsenal!

I’ve put regular use on this vice for almost a year. It’s not the same quality as vices $100+ more but is just as functional as them. I don’t see any issues at the moment that show that it won’t last for years to come. I haven’t had problems tying big streamers or small nymphs on it.
