I also purchased the mixed color pack. Great idea and variety. Problem is they snap, crack when I spin them on. Making it very difficult to use.

Like the name says......a great value with a variety of necessary colors. I not only use them on dries 14 to 16, but also on mini wooly buggers. Feathers are easy to manipulate and can tie several flies from one. I purchased two variety packs and it was still a very economical way to tie a variety of flies.

I bought this in black to tie Little Black Stoneflies in Size 14-18. The feathers in the pack have excellent color and uniformity, and a nice variety of sizes. Unfortunately, they are also extremely brittle and difficult to use. I’ve never dealt with such brittle feathers in 30 years of tying. I’m going to steam them a bit and see if that helps at all.
