This chenille is made from microfibers, super strong and expands when wet. Use for Mop Flies, Stone Flies, Emerging Caddis Nymphs, and works great for small Egg Patterns. 2 1/2 yards (before dying) per package.
Good Product. I feel like you need to furl it to make a sturdy mop fly, but overall, good product.

I bought a microfiber...
I bought a microfiber chenille car wash mitt (chartreuse), Cascade Crest mop chenille in worm brown and Hareline UV mop chenille both styles. The car wash mitt is much denser (60 mg per inch @ 6 mm diameter) – you can feel the difference. Cascade Crest is next at (50 mg per inch @ 5 mm diameter). The Hareline mop chenille is the least dense (40 mg per inch @ 4.5 mm diameter). All have great action in water. I went to 3 stores to find the car wash mitt. What a pain! Both Cascade and Hareline offer a huge selection of colors and I can cut any length that I want. Length is critical as the length of the “fingers†on the car wash mitt was only 1.25 inches – very short for my preferred mop fly patterns. Two-inch length gives a much better wiggle on the hook. I prefer Cascade Crest over both Hareline and the car wash mitt. Of course, the real test is whether the fish notice any difference. More on that latter . . .
