I have used hard as nails for the last four or five years.
The head cement comes with a brush which makes coating heads easier. I have trimmed the brush down for using on smaller flies

Fly cement:

Seems to be a very good hard holding head cement. I'm one of those guys that tries a lot of different ideas to take a standard fly to the next step. You need a good strong cement to hold a lot of different items. This seems to work well:

This head cement works...

This head cement works well and can provide a nice glossy finish. It seems to harden up in the bottle quickly for me. The thinner works okay but never seems to get to the original quality.
