Cross cut rabbit Zonker strips from Fulling Mill are cut across the hide rather than along it, which means every strip carries guard hairs and underfur that radiate outward at a consistent angle when wound. That geometry is what separates a tight, segmented streamer body from a loose, uneven one — the fibers flare uniformly around the hook shank with each wrap, trapping water and releasing it as the fly pulses on the retrieve.

At 3mm wide, these strips hit the sweet spot for most streamer and predator hook sizes — wide enough to build a full body quickly, narrow enough to keep the profile controlled on hooks down to size 4. The hide is supple and cuts cleanly without splitting. Fulling Mill packages each strip flat and perfectly straight right out of the pack, which matters more than it sounds when you're working with natural rabbit at the vise.
