Extreme Bobbin Holder

I bought a revolution vise finally. I thought since I was spending the money I should go all out for an official Regal bobbin holder. So I went with the extreme. I use the holders enough that I want one but I don’t use them enough that if a vise doesn’t come with one it’s a deal breaker.

I like the brass parts and the heavy wire they use for the longer than average arm. My vise is set horizontal which makes the vise itself pretty long. I don’t think a universal holder would be long enough to work very well.

That being said, they used cheap white thumb s c r e w s for all the adjustment points. They stick out like a sore thumb and just screams cheap. Every picture on the internet, including the one above shows black ones. They are cheap and plastic as well but a bit more subtle. I have a regal tool bar and that thumb s c r e w is very nice. Not sure why this holder wouldn’t have something nicer and nearly $60. I think regal dropped the ball here.

Although I think this holder could have been finished off better, I am happy to have it to compliment my vise set up.
