Grizzly Yellow Keough Saddle

I tie a lot of dry flies in the #12 to #16 range and for that task, I prefer a saddle vs a cape. I was looking for an affordable saddle in a color I didn't already have and I found these. When I received my order, I was very pleased with the quality of the saddle. The size ranges from #10 to #18 with the bulk falling around #14/16. The feather length is really nice as you can see in my picture. I also bought a Ginger colored saddle and it is a little shorter in feather length but also excellent quality for the money. You can see a picture of that saddle in my previous review. The colors on these saddles appear to be very vibrant and evenly dyed. I will be buying a few more of these in the future. My only request or wish would be if they were offered in more colors like purple / orange / red / chartreuse.

This is a very nice and affordable half saddle. The first saddle I received did not have the size hackle I needed. I called J Stockard and explained the situation to Paul. They were nice enough to check the hackle length on other half capes in stock and make an exchange. These saddles are a great deal. Be advised, great service is not dead.
