Ball Bearing Rotary Vise

So far I like it pretty smooth rotary function. Love the lever for the jaws

I have tied enough flies that I can publish a review. This vise is quite serviceable for those of us who don't tie huge numbers of flies. The rotary function is a little rough because the shaft is a little out of round. It has a loose spot of you have friction on the rotation adjustment. I could probably fix this, but I can live with it. The jaws work great. Adjust the little **** until the jaws just touch the hook, the the torsion lever is perfect. It's not a $200 vise, so don't expect it to function like one, but it works well for me.

I'm not sure I would use this as an everyday vise, and I don't think it will ever replace my larger (and much more expensive) primary vise, but it makes a great travel vise. I paired this with the J. Stockard Signature Tool Bag (https://www.jsflyfishing.com/products/signature-tool-bag?variant=43244914770149) and it makes for a very convenient set-up for tying classes, tying nights or streamside tying. Personally I prefer the pedestal base, but having both bases is very convenient. A great portable vise.
