This has become my go-to hook for any of my tag nymphs, and more specifically the olsen's blowtorch. Not sure what it is, but the combo of hook shape and size results in a quick sinking and very effective pattern. I tie them in 18 & 20, in 3 colors (pheasant ice dub, hares ear ice dub, and peacock ice dub) with 3 different size beads (2.8mm, 3.3mm, 3.8mm) and I just cycle through them until one works for that day.
