I have used the Daiichi 1180 for decades. Was always a great hook. The importer has changed the manufacturer or the manufacturing process. The hook always had a dark brownish bronze finish. Now it is a light gray finish. Still made in Japan per my latest order. Hope manufacturing doesn't move.
