The Daiichi 1180 Standard dry fly hook is my favorite for tying dry flies. The barb is small but sharp and hold on until you release the fish. The hook is lightweight, thin but very strong compared to others. Daiichi is my go to hooks.

They are good hooks,...
They are good hooks, not exceptional. I think the size 18 has a very small gap which has caused me to miss several catches. I recommend in small sizes looking for a hook with a bigger gap size.

Amazing hook for the price. I've never had a trout bend one, and I rarely miss hook sets.
