Absolutely beautiful eyes. One of the feathers clearly sat in the sun for a few days as it's turned a remarkable bronze color that is highly prized because fish go absolutely nuts for bronzed herl. I'm in no way upset about this because I was planning on sun bleaching two of these anyway, so saved me some effort on one.
Seriously if you've never tried it set one of these on a window sill that gets plenty of sun for a few days and try it for yourself. It's like magic.
The herl itself is gorgeous. Long barbs and not at all brittle. This is absolutely some of the highest quality peacock I've come across and I'd buy it again at twice the price.
In my 45+ plus years of tying, 10 years as a commercial tier....this is some of the nicest peacock herl I think I've ever seen. Nice flexible stems that don't break and thick fluffy herl.
These are nice for bodies and thorax. They're very full and strong. They're long enough too, to allow you to strip them.
