Transformer Vise

Very happy with Stonfo Transformer Vise. Shopped around and this vise was recommended by a friend. I would definitely recommend this vise to a friend also.

I wanted to upgrade my vise and enhance my tying experience and the Transformer Vise does this. Great holding power, smooth and precision movement, and loaded with accessories. They really did think of everything with this vise. There is a little handle on the rotary feature, a material spring, and even a thread holder for dubbing loops so you can use both of your hands. I love the fact that you get 3 different heads and I never thought I would use the tube fly attachment, but I use it to tie lots of extended bodies. I use the large/streamer attachment head for my bigger stuff, not because the regular jaws cannot handle it, but because it gives you distance for tying longer flies. I only have two cons with this vise. #1 - I wish it was taller, the primary bar is a little short for me and it decreases distance from the tall base. #2 - I wish the base was heavier. On larger flies the vise can walk on ya.

Thoroughly impressed with the quality of machining on this vise. May seem pricey but compared to buying 3 separate vices it is worth the initial investment. Rotary function is smooth as butter with added benefit of increasing or decreasing tension.
