This is the "OG" dry fly floatant that's been around forever, and it's still one of the best fly floatants on the market to this day... Often referred to as THE floatant, it's old school but still cool! It's not perfect and doesn't work that great with CDC (in fact I'd just "grease the tippet" for CDC flies) and sometimes it will matt down other materials, but it'll float your fly! It'll gel up in the cold and get really runny in hot weather, it's not a permanent thing and reapplication will be necessary, however, pretreated dry flies floating longer, it still works wonders... I use it for most of my dry flies (sometimes unweighted nymphs), to grease leaders/tippet, even the fly line itself on occasion. I have at least 1 bottle in every fishing bag/vest/pack I own. It's like the American Express Card for me; I never go fishing it without it! Is there better stuff out there? Sure, but not at this price point and it's served me well for literally decades.

I always keep this stuff on me. If your floating line ever sinks you can use this to keep it floating.

Good. Works great in warm weather, in cool weather it has the consistency of lard and can be a challenge to get out of the bottle , but once it gets on your fingers it breaks down to a thin clear liquid. It does leave a slight film on the water but that doesn't bother me because it does it's job keeping my flies floating not to mention its a lot cheaper than other brands .
