An ergonomic and high-performing update to the indispensable tying tool. The powder coated ergonomic handle rests perfectly between the thumb and fingers, while the spring steel spool holder allows for easy adjustment in tension by changing the pressure applied by the feet. The tube is made of double radius polished tungsten - better than ceramic! It's also designed with versatility in mind: the high gauge works well when tying small flies, and the tube is long enough to tackle large patterns as well. This bobbin will not work with a standard bobbin threader it need the extra long bobbin threader from Loon.
I tie a lot - I have several Bobbins - this is my second loon one shaped like this - it's just comfortable in my hand - it has become my "go to" Bobbin. The price vs comfort is just right for me. For the guy who said the length is too long for his "threader": I never use a threader any more, just when I was starting out - instead: put a small bit of thread in the tube and leave plenty of slack thread off the spool - then "suck" hard on the top of the thread tube and suck it right up and out of the tube - works like a charm and I do it all the time. Wetting the thread a very tiny bit at it's tip can help to get it "a bit" into the tube to start off.
Good luck
I love this Bobbin

Length is too long
This is a fantastic bobbin. The only problem is that it’s not convenient to put thread through it. The length is longer than my 3.5” long threader.
