The single wire model is useful for bobbins with narrow tubes while the loop model makes quick work of a common task. Both have a small knob on the soft touch handle's end for a positive grip and a hex shaped upper end to prevent rolling off the tying bench.
For some reason I have trouble with loop threaders. Takes me longer to use compared to when I was young. And this single wire is simple and easy. Fits every bobbin I have also.
