Good hooks for the price

Reviewer: from WAYNESBORO, PA USA

I've used these to tie up a number of tungsten bead head nymphs in size 12 and 14. The hooks are of good quality, consistent bend and sharp. I've pinched down the barb on the ones I've tied and haven't had any hooks break. I'd recommend them for anyone looking for a quality hook at a reasonable price.

Stock Standard Hook

Reviewer: from Wisconsin, USA

Daiichi hooks aren't #1 in my experience; but for the price. they're quite a good option and maintain a good level of strength.
These hooks in particular have caught me a lot of fish, but as with all subsurface flies would find their way onto the rocks and wood, I did notice they'd dull rather quick or even break occasionally after extended use.

When you're thinking economy, function, and quality

Reviewer: from Finger Lakes, NY

Pound-for-pound, this is the best nymph hook I've used. Is it the very sharpest, probably not. Does it have the "perfect" bend for all nymphs, no (no hook does, really). However, when you combine all factors that you want in a hook, the Daiichi 1560 scores very high. And J Stockard does an awesome job of keep these babies in stock. These are my go-to hooks for Prince's and Copper John's, along with standard, non-euro style hare's ears. If dai-rikki produced a hook with a better finish, I would call them a solid contender to this all-around, workhorse nymph hook...but I just can't fall in love with dai-rikki's more gold-like finish. That's just me. Hope this helps!

Go-to nymph hook

Reviewer: from Houston, TX

These are easily my most used nymph hook. Great quality and good value for the price. I use these for a number of different patterns but really like the 10-12 range for bluegill patterns.

Good hooks

Reviewer: from Hudson Valley, NY

These hooks do their job. Easy to tie with. Only 4 stars because of price. High quality but worth the price.
