The Aqua Flies Tube Needle is precisely machined to accept our 1.8mm tubing. The needle is flat in the back for secure gripping by most fly tying vises. Tapering down to a fine point in the front, it is easy to slide a section of tubing onto the needle until it is stuck firmly onto the larger portion of the taper which will prevent the tube from turning while tying a tube fly.
Tying flies for decades, but surprisingly, never tied tube flies before. And so I purchased this needle to get started. It’s simple to use:clamp onto your vise and slip on the tube. Very simple design, but very effective.
