Slotted Tungsten Beads - 'Stones'

I used the 4.5mm size in pink for a batch of squirmies that I tied for a friend. He uses them in fast water and pocket water in the mountains south of Asheville NC.

Firehole stones are some of the best. Quality and price are hard to beat. You get enough to tie (and lose) a reasonable amount of flies - not like other companies.

I like these beads quite a bit. I have only gotten the mounds and almond joy colors because I really like how the matte finish looks with my hare's ear and pheasant tail nymphs. I also use them on small, jigged buggers with nice results. The one complaint I have is the finish seems to chip pretty easily. I have several right now that have chipped from rolling around in the container which is a bit of a bummer, but they should still get a fly down.
