Tied here by Matt O’Neal of Savage Flies.
This all-purpose stonefly nymph is loosely based on the Montana Stone, but uses a yarn for the body, thorax, and wingcase instead of chenille. Still an easy tie and can be tied in a variety of colors for many different species.
