I have used Danville 3 o mono cord to tie the original madam x for fourth years. The thread holds the deer hair body tight with out spooning. Dose a great job on the bullet head and wing, I do not buy any thread but Danville. R.d. Jones wyo

Rarely do you hear of anyone having issue with Danville thread! Its always been my first choice and always served me well!
The 3/0 is great for heavier flies when weight isn't a concern or when you really need to apply some extra pressure!
