High N Dry Floatants

High N Dry Fishing Products built its floatant line around one core difference from older solvent-based formulas: no organic solvents, no VOCs, and no flammability. That matters both on the water and in the vest pocket — these floatants won't evaporate or degrade the way traditional solvent-carried floatants can.

The Lineup

• Liquid Floatant — a dip-and-cast formula, 100% solids, delivered in an HDPE bottle with a silicone-sealed cap so it won't leak in a pack. Especially effective on foam-bodied patterns like Stimulators and hoppers.
• Liquid Spray Floatant — the same formula in a spray application, useful for quick, even coverage without dipping the fly.
• Gel Floatant — a pre-treatment gel for general dry fly use.
• Powder Floatant & Desiccant — brushed on before fishing or used to dry out a waterlogged fly streamside; includes color-change indicator crystals that shift from orange to green when the desiccant is spent.
• Paste Floatant — formulated for leaders, tippet, and indicator yarn as much as for the fly itself, creating a continuous water barrier from fly to line.

What to Consider

• Pattern type — foam-bodied flies and hoppers do best with the liquid or spray; delicate CDC patterns pair better with the powder.
• Application preference — dip, spray, brush, or pre-treat gel, depending on how you fish and how often you re-treat.
• Leader and tippet care — the paste formula extends beyond the fly, useful for keeping leaders riding high alongside the fly itself.
• Desiccant life — watch the indicator crystals in the powder container; once they turn green, it's time to refresh the desiccant.

Because the formulas share a common non-solvent base, most anglers build out a small system — one wet-application floatant and the powder for revival — rather than relying on a single product for every situation.
