Great for matukas, zonkers and streamers, especially when you don't need a whole skin's worth or don't want to cut them yourself. There is approx.. 24" of strips
You don’t get much, but I got it to tie flies with a skinnier profile. It is easy to work with and less bulky than rabbit strips if tying smaller flies. So, I like it and will be looking to buy a whole squirrel skin if I find them dyed in the colors I want.

Wapsi Disappoints
I've been ordering pine squirrel strips to tie Barr's Slumpbuster. I've always known Wapsi to produce quality materials. However, I was quite disappointed when I received several orders of Wapsi pine squirrel strips. I discovered short pieces and voids in many of the strips. I had to use some of the short pieces as a separate piece for the collar of the fly. I had to trim other strips to eliminate the voids, which left me little strip to finish the fly.
Hi Bob, First, thanks for all your past business! Second, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us. We'll be closely inspecting our current inventory and will take this up with our supplier. The Team @ J Stockard

Disappointed
These are pricey for what you get. The colors are a bit disappointing. The width of the strips is too variable and the length of the fur is short. I know there has to be better pine/red squirrel options in the woods. Years ago I targeted them 🎯
