Great material. I tie a lot of crab patterns with it. Only giving it 4 stars because of the inconsistency in color between batches
I can't believe I never used this product before! I bought the Clown package and Mcfly foam puffs out like no other egg yarn.
I was asked to tie clown eggs, so I thought I'd give it a try. Excellent results!
BUYER BEWARE!
To all the McCheese lovers out there, it looks like the McFly Foam people have either made a bad batch of this color, or they've made a change away from that classic oregon cheese color we've all grown to love.
Fortunately, when I reached out to Stockard (and after being a little pushy with their customer service), they credited me for the pack of material on the right in this picture -- which is WAY off the mark. The CS person told me that all the McCheese they have in their warehouse is similar to the off-color they sent me. Yikes!
So, if you're buying the McCheese color from Stockard - BEWARE!
Otherwise, mcfly foam can't be beat for egg patterns IMO.
We followed up with Hareline and discovered an issue with the last batch of McF. We sorted thru our inventory and removed the mislabeled material. The Team @ J Stockard
