Bought the standard size & it seems to work well enough. I had an actual Materelli made one but lost it at a tying night. Always label or mark your stuff! Anyways I ordered this 1. It's closer to an extended whip finisher in the length of the arm compared to my old 1 that's why the 4 stars instead of 5. I guess I needed to order the small one to have it be more similar in size to my lost Materelli.

Bench staples
Was a little sticky at first, but whips up clean heads. I prefer this to a Thompson style finisher, especially this one with a bit smaller gape

A good finish
This whip finisher works as well if not better than more expensive brands. I like that the handle tip can be sharpened for cutting thread.
