these "hair" scissors have been my standard tying scissors for so many years I can't remember. The tips are fine enough for the closest work on tiny flies, and the blades are long and tough enough for everything else from any natural hair to all synthetics. My current set is over 5 years old and I've tied countless hours with them- the "gold" loops are almost totally worn away but the blades are still super sharp somehow. years ago I bought a couple extra pair when they were on sale, but they are still in their original packing unopened in my desk.
