Semperfli designed this yarn as 'dubbing on a rope', ready-made to be tied and work onto a hook. The twin strand Dirty Bug Yarn can be used straight off the spool for larger flies or split into single strands for smaller flies. 5 meters per spool.
I use Dirty Bug Yarn in dark colors for woolly buggers and weighted maribou flies. The yarn works well on flies tied on #12 to #6 hooks.

I have gone to using many of the offerings from Semperfli including their Dirty bug Yarn. This is great product for making slender body Flies and can be teased out for an even buggier look.

This is great stuff. You can use it as is for larger flies. For smaller flies. You can unravel the 2 strands. It can also be teased out for more buggies. Great stuff
