I used these hooks in the 20-24 sizes for midges. The hooks bent open so easily l threw the whole batch away. At this time, l don't think firehole is capable of making small hooks to even catch 14" trout. Back to the tmc 2488.

I like the design...
I like the design of this hook for a lot of stonefly nymph patterns that I tie. The profile seems to work really well imitating a stonefly that's lost its grip on the bottom.

Like others have stated...
Like others have stated these appear a size and half larger. Adaptable problem I say. My biggest problem is they bend out quite easily on a hard fighting big trout. That is unacceptable.
