I bought these hooks to tie some nymph and scud patterns. I fish a lot of tailwaters that call for small flies and liked the look of this hook. The 18s are great to get about a size 20/22 nymph look with great hooking power. It is a heavier hook but I just returned from the San Juan and the fish didn't seem to care. Give it a whirl, I think you will like it.

I was so happy...
I was so happy to find these hooks! Where I fish, my Glo Bugs need to be small. I had searched all over for a brand with hooks small enough and finally found then here. These are excellent hooks!
