Try this hook for soft-hackles you want to keep up in the film and you'll be very pleasantly surprised. They continue to be among the best hooks available for most any dry fly imaginable, but especially those 'delicate' one's you want to be able to remove w/o 'damaging' the dressing.

Partridge SLD2 Barbless Hook
LOVE THE DESIGN OF THIS HOOK!!! Outstanding Barbless Hook with nice wire thickness and a good hook eye opening. Listed as a standard gape, but I would say it is a 1X Wide gape hook.

Love this hook for dries. Seems to really give fewer missed hookups than a standard dry hook.
