Longer shank helps
Reviewer: A viewer from Greenville, SC US
The longer shank of the 3761 is the preferred length for patterns like the lightning bug. I feel using a bit longer shank also helps to add a small something extra when fishing nymphs in a pressured fishery. Tiemco hooks are sharp and a premium in strength.
TMC 3761 bead head nymph hook

This is the only hook I reach for and purchase when tying all of the different bead head nymphs that I tie. The added length lends itself well for the addition of a brass or tungsten bead to add a little weight and flash. Again, as with all my reviews of Tiemco, this is the only brand hook for me.

These are simply the best hooks on which I have tied. You will not find a stronger hook or a sharper one right out of the package. The strength of the hooks is unparallelled, and will perform for any fish you attempt to take on - trout, bass, steelhead, salmon - none are too much for TMC hooks.
