I got this in olive to try to make some caddis bodies and it looks great. A little trick is to light the end and when it melts, pull and stretch the end. This makes it thinner and easier to tie in for a smoother, better-looking body.

This is great stuff to use in a variety of situations, creating bodies or wrapping a body to create a segmented look. I like the fact that it is loaded on a spool as well where other brads do not. The problem I have is quality control by the manufacturer. There can be a large color variation from one spool to the next. Olive can be anything from a lighter olive to a dark green. Orange can be anything from a light orange to more red. Sometimes I care about the color. I can't say if the fish do or not. For this reason, I'm not sure if I will buy this again.
