Pine Squirrel Strips 3/32"

They're nice. I prefer the zonked skin when I can get it.

These have pretty much replaced my rabbit strip, rabbit is a little bulky because of the thick leather. These are nice and thin which is very helpful when making small or slimmer flies.

With a finer hair and a thinner hide, I use pine squirrel for the same zonker patterns (and others) on a smaller scale. These have changed the way I fish. No joke. This particular pack from Wapsi is the cheapest I can find.
The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that the hide isn’t always cut in consistent widths.
