Perdigon Body

Way too delicate. Breaks almost every time I use. Would not recommend. Easier and cheaper to use flashabou

This is a really convenient product for making perdigon and other slim bodies. Depending on the thread beneath it, the color can be subtle, but overall the end product is nice. I’ve coated these flies with both super glue and UV resin and the color seems to hold up well.

This stuff is basically thin cut flashabou on a spool... Easily makes Perdigon bodies. This is a semi transparent product. By simply changing thread colors on standard Perdigons (or other fly patterns with thread underbodies) brings a whole new level of depth and color possibilities, including those with UV tones. The colors will really "pop" with a coating of UV resin (which I recommend doing) as well. I particularly like this product on my chironomid patterns specifically... My only complaint is that it is very thinly cut, almost as thin as flattened 70D thread which can be difficult to cover a body without spaces. This product also makes a really nice body ribbing on traditional patterns such as pheasant tail and hare's ear nymphs and even dry flies too. Great color palette to choose from that should suit the needs of even the most demanding of fly tyers.
