Coarse, spikey and translucent. The best substitute for baby seal, and ideal for stoneflies. Also best on large nymphs, salmon, steelhead flies. Great for blending with other dubbings.
I use this for my custom hare's ear blend. Add some wool, Antron and angora goat for the ultimate kosher hares-ear replacement dubbing. Allows me to abide by Leviticus chapter 11 and still have the buggy dub that drives the fish crazy!!

I use this dubbing to tie bass and carp flies, it works great in a dubbing loop, you can also blend it very well and create your own colors!

Great stuff for buggy flies. And I mixed claret and brown with Hare's Ear Plus for a nice Isonychia blend.
