This is a great all-around hook for bead head flies of all sizes. I also use it for various stonefly and caddis dry fly patterns. The extra length and slight bend are perfect for Little Black Stoneflies and Yellow Sallies. The only downside is that the same bend that I like so much for dry flies does not accommodate some beads when tying nymphs. Otherwise, this would be a five star hook.
Tip: This hook is perfect for Woolly Buggers and small streamers for panfish and bass. I could fill both the cold water fly box and the warm weather fly box with nothing but 1260s.
