On my bucket list I always wanted to catch a trout on a # 30 or smaller hook. I bought some of these a month ago tied a simple emerger with a shuck and in a driving cold rain caught 3 nice rainbows in 20 minutes. I missed that many too, but the conditions were tough. I was very surprised how well these barbless hook held the fish. The big eye is almost a must, it really helps tying the 8 or 10x tippet you need to use.. A very good hook.
