A must have tool

Simple well made tool. Does what it should do. All the metal is smooth and polished and nothing to hang up on when putting a whip finish on your flies.

Good whip finisher saves frustration

I have had some different types of finishers and these are my favorite. Simple to use, reliable and headache free. Fancier ones out there, but these work the best.

Excellent Product

This whip finisher is easy to learn to use. I can tie much more accurately than I used to with hand whip finishers. Great value.

Slick...like its name.

Reviewer: from Parker, CO US

I have always "finished" my flies with a "Thompson" style whip finisher. It worked well, but the "Matarelli" style whip finisher is soooo much easier to learn and use. I got the bamboo handled one and it is nice to hold and the rotating arm makes whip finishing fast and slick! The built in half-hitch tool on the bottom end of the handle is nice too! (One less tool on the bench.)Get one, you won't regret it.

worth every penny

Reviewer: from New Cumberland, PA US

For decades I tied off my flies with a hand whip finish and thought there was no need for a tool to do the same job as my fingers. As I started to tie smaller flies and use lighter threads, I discovered I wasn't exactly right. It took me about 30 seconds to figure out how to use the tool, and I was able to make more precise finishes on small flies. Very nice and a great value.
