Whiting hen saddles have firm, resilient barbs with high barb density on a fine yet strong quill. The webby feathers are great for legs and collars on bluegill, wet flies and nymphs with hook sizes in the 12 to 16 range. The feathers can also be burnt or cut for upright dry fly wings. Other uses include legs and wings on hoppers and other terrestrials, and tails and hackle on small bass bugs. The overall length of the saddle is about 9 inches.
These saddles are great for all my wet fly and soft hackle tying! Great selection of feather sizes for all types of flys! And they make great little stone fly wing on a early stone fly! Whiting farms never fails me!

Best wet fly feathers

I was really pleased with these feathers. There were plenty of them all in a usable size and make really good wet fly collars wings and tails. Great coloring in both the Brown and Grizzly. Exceptional quality for the price. Exactly what you would expect from Whiting.
