Whiting Intro Packs are not just for new tyers, but experienced tyers as well. They are packaged to give you incomparable value. For the price of a single cape or saddle you get 2. The only possible downside is they are ungraded, if that is important to you. Also, if you don't need a whole saddle or neck, getting 1/2 saddles and necks is a real bonus. The ones in this combo are brown and grizzly, the most useful for tying the largest variety of flies.
The necks were at least Red Label Prograde, probably bronze, the grizzly saddle was like an Hebert Bronze, the Brown like a Red Label Prograde.

I ordered these half capes a few weeks after I got my new fly vise for Christmas. I was drawn in by the price and variety. I am VERY pleased with the amount, size variety, and quality of these hackles. My order also came very fast. 3 days I think. I will for sure recommend this product and company.
WOW is all I can say about the quality and quantity of this product for the price. You really do get a bronze or better level saddles and capes and four of them for about the price of two. I bought both the 4 capes and 4 saddles variety to get my bench up and running. This is the best deal around if you are in need of replacing a lot of your supplies or starting up in fly tying. It would have taken me a lot longer to get a large amount of materials together if it were not for this great deal from Whiting. I highly recomend this bundle if you are in need of a lot of capes or saddles, you really really will not be dissapointed.
these are the perfect way for beginners to buy hackles...for one low price, you get the four most useful hackle colors and enough to tie hundreds of flies. Also great for the experienced tier on a budget (like myself...)
I bought this product for a friend who is a beginner tyer and after looking at the quality of the hackle I was blown away. It is a perfect for not only beginners but experienced tyers as well. Whiuting provieds the highest quality hackle and this product proves that again.Defiantely recommend to any tyer.
