Use these in all sizes. They don't sink and are durable. Once you learn how to anchor them, they pretty much stay put. I always pick up a package every season. They due have their purpose and I also use yarn as well.
thingamabobber is a high floating indicator, you dont even know it is there when casting but changing how deep you want to fish is a bit of a pain for me because i move to different spots very often.
I like how they float (like a bobber!) but dislike the typical attachment system (looping it around the float). I prefer to use a toothpick and then half-hitch the leader (already pinned inside the loop with the toothpick)on the toothpick to make adjusting easier and positioning more stable.
They're not my only indicator, but these deffinitely have a perminant place in my vest. They're light for their size, and cast easily, and are unsinkable! They do tend to slip on smaller tippets with longer casts, but, a toothpick through the hole solves that.
Best floating indicator I have used. Even the smallest size will still float with a couple of shot on the leader. Durable, I still have not worn one out. Easy to adjust and stays in position.
