great for rattle flies. 5 out of 5 stars

I use the 4mm rattle in all of my rattle flies. Insert rattle into hollow mylar cord and tie on the fly. Very audible without being too big to work with.

Nice and noisy 5 out of 5 stars

These are easy to work with and make a nice rattle in the water. They do take up a lot of room on the hook, though, so are best reserved for pretty large flies. Even with the 3mm, I had a little trouble getting them on size 6 streamers and having the winging material set right.

Good rattle but heavy 4 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Houston, TX

Fantastic rattle for subsurface flies. I've found it to be too heavy for effective use on topwater patterns.

works...but 3 out of 5 stars

I tie these to my crawfish pattern, using a length of 1"-2" 20+ lb line. I use superglue then coat with epoxy. Not full proof and I still lose them after a number of strikes.
Once I figure out how to secure these. I'll post again.

These rattles are great for the rattle fly. Slide them right in the braided tube and Tye it to the hook and the make your fly. Great for bass flies.
