Description

Micro Metal is a thin metallic thread that can be used for thoraxes or as ribbing and bodies on flies raning from dries to nymphs to salmon, streamer and saltwater patterns. Semperfli starts with a fine core and wraps it with soft metal tinsel in a broad range of colors. The thread is just 0.106mm (0.0036 inch) diameter, about the same as 3/0 (200 denier) thread. 75 meters (81.25 yards) per spool.

Ribbing more supple than wire

This product is a great substitute for wire that is more forgiving and supple and comes in a ton of colors to satisfy even the most demanding of fly tyers. Can be used as a stand alone product as a body or as simply a ribbing through your favorite fly patterns.

I've just received this and am using it in perdigon flies for the first time. It really has potential for the look and for adding just a tiny bit of additional weight.
