One of our most popular vises! In this convenient bundle, a Peak vise comes with the optional D-Arm for easier rotation and the optional Material Clip (with extra spring). All components of the Peak Vise are high quality stainless steel, hardened tool steel, and brass, with aluminum for the jaw tube link arm. The vise includes a brass tipped set screw and Allen wrench to allow the vise to break down flat for travel. The hardened jaws can hold hooks from size 2 streamers down to #24 midges and the positive stop cam action allows repeatable gripping from the first fly to the last. Chose a pedestal base with a rounded pocket or C-clamp mount for a table edge up to 2 1/4". Lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship. If expedited or international shipping is required, an extra shipping charge may be applied during processing; please ask for a shipping quote.

Great vise! 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Three Bridges, NJ US

Some time ago I became dissatisfied with the rotary vise I had been using -- I won't mention which -- because I thought it was difficult and tedious to make adjustments to the jaws as well as the rotary mechanism. I began looking for a new vise and started making price/function comparisons. The PEAK rotary vise ended up at the top of my list.

It turned out to be an excellent choice! This all-metal vice is rock solid and very well made. Fine tuning the jaws and the rotary tension is a breeze. The hook is locked into place simply by flipping a cam. One potential negative point is that the vise is supplied with plastic screws for the bobbin holder and rotary tension adjustment. However, I also ordered brass replacement screws which are much more durable (and better looking too). The D-arm is also very handy to have when using the rotary mechanism to wind on dubbing, floss, or ribbing.

In short, this vise, especially when augmented with its accessories, is a great tool that won't disappoint!

Peak Vise 5 out of 5 stars

I've been tying for a year and decided to upgrade my vise. I'm extremely happy with the Peak and very happy I chose the bundle with the material clip and D-arm. I tie mostly streamers and have had -0- issues with hooks up to a 1/0. Couldn't be happier with my purchase and it arrived very fast too! Can't go wrong with J Stockard.

The Most Bang for Your Buck 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Central Pennsylvania

I own other more expensive and "bigger name" vises. The function and quality of this vise are equal to it; however, I find that the stability during tying and the value of this vise are much better. I read many reviews and I was concerned with the jaw design when I first ordered it. I purchased the midges jaws with the vise but have yet to use them. But once more, the midge jaws for this vise cost a fraction of those for my other vise. This is truly the most bang for your buck.

A great rotary vise 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from New Braunfels, TX US

I did a lot of research before buying this vise. I read online reviews, talked with forums, and visited with local fly shop owners and fellow fly fishers. This vise seemed the best purchase for the price. It has it all. Rotary action, ease of use, hook holding capability, and much more. I got immediate confirmation from J. Stockard and received my vise in a very short time. Great company and great vise. Highly recommend this as your permanent vise. You won't need another after getting this one.

Great Rotary Vise 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewer: from Aurora, CO US

Recently I decided to upgrade to a rotary vise. I'm very happy I selected the Peak. I've tied Large streamers to 20 midge patterns with the standard jaws. This is an excellent quality product. The rotary function is smooth and and helps improve the quality and speed of tying my flies, as well as tie far more difficult patterns than with my old vise. I highly recommend this vise.
