>> There is no vise like it! Let me save you some time on your research for a vise. If you are serious about tying flies, you can Google the vise(s) that you are interested in and read all the forums, for months like those that I did before purchasing the âbest vise for the moneyâ only to exchange it soon after for this viceâ¦like I did. Or, you can just get it now and move on to picking out your material. I am a returning tie flierâ¦like you havenât said that once or twiceâ¦and I research thoroughly when I am going to purchase anything that cost a lot of moneyâ¦I have a special someone monitoring my every purchase;-)
>> Comparing the vises on the market from a quality, versatility, and durability perspective versus cost, this is the vise to own.
>> I bought the Nor-vise bobbin separately with the vise I returnedâ¦buy the vise and bobbing together. Get the extra box of Nor-vise bobbin spools, theyâre worth it.
>> There is a bit of a learning curve, especially with the bobbin retracting the [email protected]# thread all the time but the benefits of this bobbin certainly out ways the efficiency of the bobbin once you learn to use the automatic recoil of the bobbin to your advantage.
>> Go to www.nor-vise.com and watch the video. Warningâ¦Norm Norlander is a retired Engineer. Do not expect a flamboyant video.
I absolutly love this vise, I find that it works for all types of flies. No major learning curve needed to master this vice. This vice does allow you to increase overall production just because of the speed and style. Quality mechanically is nothing but the best and Nor-vise customer service is absolutly excellent !
There is no other vise like this. Do not be intimidated by the direct mount requirement. If you can drill 2 holes and drill 2 countersunk holes you'll be fine. Once you get this mounted, the vise is rediculous. With the automatic bobbin, the engineering really shines with how easy it is to apply thread, dubbing, and hackle. Worth the purchase for a fly tyer.
Awsome rotating vice for the price. alot of the others are alot more expensive tan this one. A lot of fly shops in michigan have these vices for there tying purposes, i always look at there fly tying bench to figure out what the best is and this is obviously one of them.
