Just got into tying Klinks and these hooks are way easier than using a 2487 or the like. I don't know if the bend is just slightly less aggressive or what, but an emerger tied on these looks legit.
The size of the Kona hook is smaller then the Daiichi 1167. E.g. the Kona size #12 is equal to the Daiichi #14 in size. The Kona #12 is also made with a heavier(2X) wire. Another example would be that the Kona #14 is equal to the Daiichi #16 with only a slightly heavier wire diameter. Hope this is helpful, Cheers!
