Great starter set

Reviewer: from Sacramento, CA US

This is a great set for a young beginner or anyone just starting out tying. I would change the whip finishing tool to a rotating tool from the Thompson spring type, or just buy an extra. My grandaughter got this set for her birthday, it works great for her. Good value at this price.

Awesome tools for the price

Reviewer: from Saraland, AL US

I bought this set to start out with, and while they're not as good as some of the more well known brand these tools still hold their own. I could even see this set being part of a 'travel' kit as well. Great stuff, great price.

Came with no instructions

Reviewer: from Texas

If these are beginner tools, and they are, then why do they come with zero instructions? I unique whip finish tool design, but no instruction on how to use it? I probably should’ve spent more and gotten the Loon kit I wanted.

Good starter set

Reviewer: from Missouri

Great tool kit to start with. Not the best out there, I'm sure, but they got me going. I've tied about three dozen flies of different styles so far and everything has worked pretty well. Before receiving the kit I was tying with no tools. With these tools the quality of my flies has increased greatly.

The bobbin is a bit rough and has frayed some thread. The whip finisher is a bit difficult to learn how to use but since I figured it out it has done well. Will definitely upgrade down the road but I am satisfied with these tools for now.
