I have had these scissors for about two weeks and find them to be nicely made, very sharp, & smooth. I tie trout flies exclusively and personally find them best suited for size 12 and larger due to the size of the blades.
These scissors cut effortlessly. the tips are definitely fine enough for trout flies(although ive only tied pike flies with them so far). im looking forward to tying small detailed nymphs with these come spring. They cut 200 denier GSP no problem!
These scissors are the best. Sharp as a razor, smooth as silk. A little more expensive that your run of the mill cutters, but well worth it. I'm going for a pair of arrow-points next. Can't wait!!
I inherited a pair of standard Dr. Slick tying scissors from my uncle when I first started tying. After not taking care of them (i.e. cutting wire, etc.), they were finally getting to the point of needing to replace them. I'm glad I spent the extra money on the Tungsten Carbide scissors as they are noticeably sharper than the standard scissors. Hopefully they hold their edge as advertised.
